Jeff Pope out at 99.1 KGGI

The word is that morning co host Jeff Pope is out at 99.1 KGGI. Jeff's page has been deleted from the stations website.

Jeffs been there for over a decade i think, it would not surprise me if he turns up at KOLA, as they have been stealing away their DJ's, at least Jessie Duran for that part, I dont think they really need Jeff, there ratings are pretty solid, there is no way they can ever compete against 97.5, and KOLA, there ratings are off the charts, good luck wherever he goes, just wondering who will replace him. they have been shifting alot of Dj's around as of late. and they more recently lost Art Laboe too,

Is it me or has KGGI really changed over the past year music and jocks? Normally I would alot of old school music but now its more CHR current driven?

Yeap,
There music and on air personalities are changing. KGGI's always plays the same songs every hour which sucks. I can't stand hearing the samething over and over and over again.

It seems to me that a lot of the recurrents and especially the gold have been eliminated from the playlists. They have a true competitor in KQIE, though, so research was probably telling them they couldn't be all things CHR to all audiences and needed to focus on a tighter playlist.

I wonder what, if any, of these changes may have occurred due to shifting demographics in the IE?

I thought the changes were related to CC's last budget cuts. I thought I heard a rumor that the LA cluster is running the Riverside cluster? I could be wrong.
