Jefferson Ward has been named the Market Manager of Clear Channel Salisbury-Ocean City, Maryland....Anybody remember him? He used to be the PD of Q102 and did sales for other radio groups around Philly...

I believe he was also at WKSS- Kiss 95.7 Hartford for many years as well.

I remember him well and need to get back in touch with him. We worked together in the Wilkes Barre-Scranton market where he once was on-air at WKRZ. Great guy! I wish him well.

Wasn't he on top 40 WAEB AM in Allentown way back too? It was about the time Jefferson Ward department stores (R.I.P.) first appeared in this area.

Jefferson did a great job on the air and programming WAEB-FM "Laser 104.1" in the late 80's!

Good luck to him!

Don't forget his run as just "Jefferson" at WCAU-FM in the early-to-mid 80's. I believe CBS made him drop the "Ward" from his airname.

When we were at Y100, I enjoyed chatting with him about the Q/Power/Eagle battle of 1990-94. "Eagle One-Oh-Sux and the Power Ninety-Nerds!" -Zulu, The One-Man Gang

I think I also interviewed him for one of my college sales or marketing or advertising term papers. All the best to Mr. Ward.

Jefferson was DEFINITELY in Allentown, PA on Lazer 104.1 in the late 80's.

At 9:00 on Sundays, he did a short taped segment that showcased local bands called "Stars of Tomorrow". One song from one local band went through the airways of the Lehigh Valley.

Our band was lucky to be played on the station that night, which was a thrill for us and marked the first time one of our songs was played on the radio.

I am not sure what time of day he was on.

Jeff did work in Allentown in the late '80s. My last chat with him was then. I was being interviewed for a public service show & found out he was in the building. We reminisced about our time at Penn State.

Didn't Jefferson Ward run a chain of discount stores in the Philly area, pre-Bradlees? ;)

Yes, I believe it was in Montgomery County...

Jefferson is, in a sentence, the warmest person I've ever encountered in Radio.

He could lift you out of a funk and you never left his office feeling deflated.

He's one of a handful of managers who inspired me and he did it everyday.

Good Luck to him.
