You would think the way Joe Mathieu has shunned her would give Casey a clue, but I guess not. I have written two emails to him, similar to the one above, although not as detailed, and have heard nothing back. WBZ's strategy must be to lock up the lowest common denominator listener and all you need to do is turn on the Brien show for an hour to see they have won that demographic.

Absolutely !!!! She has read every word. Probably had all that time while she was sittling in the Butler "Resort" on Providence's East Side.... hmmmmmmm? Sounds like she is sucking on some meds while she is talking. That woman....I'll remember her name some time.

You are absolutely right. It is none of our business. Can you point to where I criticized her in my post for not revealing the reason behind her mystery absence? Of course, you can't. You just seem so sensitive about any criticism of Ms. Brien.
It is interesting that she has spent time tonight praising Bradley Jay and Morgan and she announced that Joe Mathieu is going to be on at 4:45 and how excited she is about that. All of this is new for her. I am going to speculate (and this is complete speculation) that she was spoken to by management. Her crossover with Bradley Jay was also much different than any crossover she has done on the nights I have heard her. She actually seems to be listening to people and she has definitely cut back on talking about herself most of the time. She also has stressed several times that the show is going to be more about fun topics than it has been.
Some good news: Before I tapped out tonight she brought the manure-filled sock back. Yay. quality radio has returned.

Sorry to take so long to reply but I was sleeping while you were listening. Someone posted a letter here yesterday that they sent to Peter Casey and I commented that it was a very good businesslike letter. The letter was very critical of Mrs Brien I said that that was the proper way to voice a concern about her show. can you point out where I defended Ms Brien in that exchange. "No of course you can't". Trying to have a conversation here is like trying to talk to someone who instead of listening is too busy planning their next reply. I'm not a fan of Ms Brien but I am less a fan of "train wreck" threads. Oh yea everything you post is critical. Right back Atcha.

Last I heard That Woman....I'll think of her name sometime.... she was talking about people who do not flush the toilet in public bathrooms. Maybe, she was referring to people who do not flush the toilet in institutions like Butler.

really she's back? I missed her show. oh man? She sounds so hot! I love her show. I'm happy she is back
I missed that one, but I was lucky enough to hear urine & coming out of the stall a handful of wadded up toilet paper. Man, that was beautiful. I was in & out as I always am with the show; She kept building "2:00 AM" like it was going to be some huge groundbreaking topic. 2:00 AM arrives - topic is "What is your favorite invention/or best invention of all time..." something along those lines. Well, okay, not a bad topic really, could be interesting.
I had to leave the radio shortly after that. Came back in about 20 min. later & we were again talking about urine/public bathrooms and bullies, the hostile environment of the 'net. Huh? What happened to the topic that we built up so voraciously for 2 hours? Oh well, I realize that I don't know quality radio when I see it.
The Joe Mathieu appearance was every bit as strained as I figured it would be. He was obviously ordered to return to her show, not by his own volition.
She attempted a couple of light hearted comments in response to his topics, but he moved right past them without any acknowledgement, finished his segment & beat a path out the door. lol
As long as this woman has listeners who hate her, she will have a job because the haters are still LISTENING!

Jen mentioned in her "bully" rant last night about an article in the Herald that some woman wrote about her awhile back. Apparently no one is permitted to have an opinion except for B. According to Ms. Brien, it was a scathing review of her radio performance.
Did anyone read that story? I can't seem to locate it anywhere. I'm curious to see what the reviewer had to say firsthand.

No problem for him here, all he has to do is repeat what he did to get out of it last time:
After I decided to give up listening before 5AM, I would turn on the show at 4:55 each Friday to see if she was still there. I heard Joe come on, say something like "Happy Friday" and she flipped out on him. Telling him she knew she hated that phase (must be her version of "Niagra Falls"). Didn't hear from Joe again. She seemed to take it that he knew she hated it, and did it on purpose.
So he still has that in his pocket...

Bet her show is piped into the Day Room at Butler on the east side of Providence. Would makthese patients realize they are no where as nuts a she is.
