We just signed Jenna Drey and her single, "By the Way". Look for a re-release of the single with a new mix or two as soon as we can press them up. :)

I'm no longer a moderator there b/c DanceRev (or someone close to him) complained about me to Lance. Saying I'm not a pro in the industry so I shouldnt be moderating the board. I was deeply offended by DanceRev's comments on that board that I supposedly don't know about Dance music.
I never claimed to know every single artist out there, and I bet you there's plenty of acts I'm familiar that's he's not.
I've also never revealed on the other board that I did intern and knew the people at the Cox Party stations several years back, or that a number of CHR personalities and personalities are people who I've met and stay in touch with.
You also know that I used to post extensive lists of current House and Trance music on the boards, before DanceRev even joined any of the boards. Now with work and classes it's not as easy to take the time to listen to hundreds upon hundreds of Dance records per month to come up with a good list. And it wasn't just mainstream Dance - I listen to both underground and mainstream stuff, and also stay on top of the CHR, Rhythmic, Modern Rock, and now Rhythmic AC music. The webcasters that I post and try to constantly update also takes up time.

I really don't understand why I can't properly comment on whether or not I've heard of an artist, or give my honest opinion on a song. On the CHR boards people constantly critique both positively and negatively the new songs that come out. Certain radio stations get the thumbs up, others get the thums down for some (see Q-92 Canton). Even certain radio companies are sometimes mentioned in a negative light. If it's okay to do all, then why is it not okay for me to speak my mind on some issues?
I've started a lot of threads and been very active on boards and with the music. I'm disappointed that some not only don't appreciate that, but also wish to shut me out of certain forums.

First off buddy I did not complain to anyone. These are radio boards about United States formats. You make this thing out to be global which from time to time is fine but if you dont know something dont put you dont know it. It makes you sound not knowledgable on the format that you are moderating. I never said I was an expert but I do know the artists that are making an impact on US dance stations, most of which I know personally or have interviewed. You rarely have had a kind word for a US artist and those are the ones we need to support. What happens overseas on radio means nothing here. Do you think one of the Energy stations is listening to an overseas broadcast, probably not.

Brett, if it iwasn't you then first of all let me apologize. I thought it might be you b/c for the most part anything I said on that other board you oftentimes bash me for rather then simply disagree with me.
Second of all, how can you say for sure if the guys at C-89.5 or the energy stations don;t listen to BBC Radio or some other stations abroad?
You've also surely noticed the posts by fellow members junglecitizen, Wilf, Mattii, and radiofan. They love talk about stations from abroad b/c they have either lived there or currently reside there.

I know you're a big fan of Lucas Prata. You don't think he cares that he's fared well better in Sweden then he has in the US with one of his hits? Well, don't you think all artists care about what gets played and what does well abroad? I know Jimi LaLumia does as he's posted some of the stations in Europe playing his records.
I like to view the Dance board as a global board b/c we truly do get readers from all over the world, b/c so many airtsts and labels are based abroad, and b/c most Dance stations are found abroad.

I may not know every record and artist that gets airplay on mainstream Dance radio in the US, but by and large I definitely do follow mainstream radio. It's just that there's so many of them out there in the world which I enjoy listening to. You know for a fact that I've listened to your station, Mike's station, or the Energy in S.F., but I'm sure you've also seen my passion for stations out of Mexico, Holland, Brazil, France, and so on. It introduces me to different records and different trends, and help the music stay fresh for me.
I also love being in tune with what many label as underground Dance music, and DJ culture. Should I apologize for that?
Lastly, and I'm sure this is true for you too, I'm first and foremost a fan of music in general. I listen to Top 40 radio, Modern and Classic Rock, Adult Contemporary, Rhythmic, and as you know I also listen to foreign Pop.
