Jennifer Lopez Ft Pitbull- On the floor

As far as freestyle sounds crossing over, well, I don't know what to think because the last major uptempo / dance hit that made it big without the typical house beat pattern (as far as I remember) was "Like a G6". Ever since then, other than exclusive dj booty & breakbeat remixes from dj sites, everything has gone house. The breakbeats have pretty much died (with exception for Cee-lo of course).

Actually I take that back. I just heard "Please don't go" by Mike Posner and "Back seat" by New Boyz ft Dev, and those don't use the typical house pattern style beat (but are still electro). I guess you could somewhat add Britney's "til the world ends" as well, since it isn't ALL "housed out".

To be more accurate, House and Electro-Pop came back.

Right now, American mainstream hit radio consists of 3 main sounds.

1. Pop
2. House
3. Hip Hop

The R&B is included in the "Pop" and "Hip Hop".
