WLEX anchor Jennifer Nime Palumbo is in self-quarantine after being briefly exposed to someone who tested positive with COVID-19, the station reported Monday.
Palumbo does not have any symptoms but is taking the action after talking with her physician’s office and Lexington-Fayette County Health Department officials, WLEX said.
Health officials say she is at low risk and her family, friends, and co-workers do not need to self-quarantine, the station reported.
“Palumbo had a brief interaction last week during a doctor’s visit with a person who later tested positive for COVID-19 in Fayette County,” WLEX said. “Palumbo said she is not able to be tested because doctors told her she does not meet current criteria.”
