Jennifer Reed debuts on WYSP on 1/21

Still don't get it. If her delivery, content, ideas, or anything were moderately entertaining, then fine. But, it seems like all she has going for her is that she has a female voice. I don't understand, when that is all you have to offer, how that would work to get ratings for a station that is predominantly going after 18-49 year old men. First of all, it is radio...you can not see her! Are people that stupid? Really listen to her. Call letters, backsell songs, read rock news from the internet, read promotional liner, front sell songs, call letters...sans individual personality. She just seems like a cookie-cutter card reading rock jock...with a female voice.

That is YSP's fault more than Reed herself. It seems as if she's being restrained from giving her previous delivery she had in her other markets, which makes no sense. They might as well have gone with Frank Lario or one of the other weekenders.

agreed. the entire philly market seems to be in love with "discovering talent" in other markets when there are certainly more than a few locals to choose from, whether its radio, television, newspapers, etc. Someone mentioned Frank Lario. I remember his show on MMR being successful before they brought in Dee Freakin' Snyder (who was gone in six months, I believe). Just another example of Philly's inferiority complex keeping this place from becoming first class. I fear we are forever doomed to find plain Janes around the country and drag them here with a new haircut, some makeup and hype them as supermodels. I've seen it my whole life and don't expect any different.

I think she sounds great AND looks great. If Jennifer says she's 35 who are we to doubt it.
Wow dude, you're an easy sell! Get your believer fixed, she was 35 in Memphis and that was a lot of years ago. I could care less how old someone is but if you think she looks that good, then she should be proud of it at her actual age.
