this girl rocks! sexy, fun and afternoons have never sounded better!

She's trying to hard. The PD is either telling her to punch up the sex, or she's doing it thinking it's necessary. Either way--she doesn't need to. She looks fantastic, sounds great, and frankly if she backed off a bit she'd be perfect.

I agree... Every break sounds like she's trying to talk a roadie into giving her a backstage pass.

that was her schtick in dallas -- working for the bone, the challenge was to work as many references to "boning" into one break as possible. ugh.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah... Reading these threads about Jennifer Reed makes me wonder how many 13 year old boys hitting puberty read this board. Oy vey.

Look Buzz... just cause you hired her, doesn't mean we can't share our opinions about her. She AIN'T that good. She's a liner reader with boobs. Her quote when she took your gig was, "I can't wait to take Atlanta radio to a new level!" I don't think THAT will happen...

i'm not that impressed, actually no one i know is either... she does sound like just a line reader, reminds me of the jocks on DAVE.

Tough crowd! I don't know if it's her, or management is putting her on a tight leash, (insert joke here) but I do agree, she needs to ad lib a bit more. All I hear now is who the Braves are playing on that particular night, and who's on the workforce payroll, and a little bit of music news. I think she needs to get the listeners involved more. I'm willing to give her the benefit of being new to Atlanta. She does sound good though, but sounds better and more relaxed when occasionally she goes off script.

better than any p.m. drive music jock at the moment.. and much better than south of the border and pizza face! they still don't have a gig and they're dreaming if they think kicks will put them on in mornings!

Re: Southside and Rhodes

Radiocat--really? Are you kidding? They really think they have a shot at KICKs mornings? They're so not the demo/lifestyle--diametrically opposed to it in fact. Family friendly? Pffffft.I actually felt a bit sorry for Rhodes losing his gig. Southside just.....was awful, and dragged Rhodes down IMO. Think about it this way: if they weren't a team, and the time came to cut people loose, d'ya think that Rhodes would've been let go too? Unlikely (unless of course he was an idiot inside the building--that counts for a lot, and the listening public often has no idea about it as a reason for a termination).

Jennifer Reed has one thing going for her that I assume most if not all of the participants on this board do not have - she has an afternoon drive gig on a major radio station in Atlanta. She's doing something right, at least for the time being. We are all talking about her on this blog. No one is talking about us - so she's one up on us there. She just freakin' got here - ya gotta give her a chance to test the waters at least. She may find her niche, and she may not. Time will tell. She's got one more radio gig than anyone here I'd guess.

WTF? I hired her? Either you have no clue as to what you're talking about or you have me reeeeeally confused with someone else.Oh, and WELCOME TO MOE'S!

I have not listened to Jennifer in a while. She had a smooth delivery in Memphis. I believe it has to do with formats. She was in a more laid back Classic Rock format in Memphis compared to the edgier rock formats in Dallas and Atlanta. We also know Dallas and Atlanta are more competitive than Memphis. She really is down to earth and works well with listeners. I hope she is given enough time to settle in with the station. Rock on.
