Jennifer Ross out at WRMF

Interesting turn of events. Why would the station want to skew younger as per sources. Morning show was a staple and had great numbers. Leaps and bounds ahead of the Wild 95 crew who are better suited for a small market.

Another example of the lack of loyalty to the radio talent that made your station.

Although she "rode" Kevin Kitchens' coattails all these years, she was associated with the "Champions of Breakfast and and WRMF.

I think she is a talented sidekick, and she was liked by the core audience.

30 years in the market, and WRMF can't even celebrate her career and let her say goodbye to the audience. She has been a staple of that station for all of the years that WRMF has been an adult contemporary format.

I might have had my reservations about Jennifer Ross, but she never deserved this kind of treatment, and as for wife beater Danny and his "new cabana boy", he'll be responsible for the demise of the radio station and the eventual format change.

Her dismissal was a big enough story to garner one of those news-bulletin e-mail alerts from the Palm Beach Post. On the other hand, the Post sends those out every time there is a minor fender bender on Military Trail.

Granted, she did make the front page of the paper, but she definitely had the door kick her in the ass on the way out.

As a former employee at WRMF, I can tell you that you are simply a pawn at their station. There is no loyalty and if you aren't liked by staff or management, you're outta there. It's amazing to me how Program Directors (who are so out of touch with their audience) seem to keep their jobs but somehow keep firing competent staff. A good buyout of WRMF would really teach these morons a lesson, I can't wait for it!

If I had the $$$, I'd bring everyone back. I know all of them and have most of their cell phone #s.

I know personally:

Paul Kavanaugh, Buzz Barnett, Dave Brewster (still there though and a great guy), Jason Williams, Russ Morley, Mickey Miller. Mike Calhoun I know is still there and a good news person as well.

$$$ is all I need, and I'd fix it up. Get rid of the awful voice guy, bring back someone decent. WRMF had a great thing going back in the day, and those numbnuts killed it.

Interesting to see if the numbers have dipped since her departure. The morning drive has sounded awful without her and I would have to believe that the station took a hit?

The only ounce of originality left on WRMF is Dave Brewster. Unfortunately he's forced into whatever they ask him to do.
