Jeopardy spoiler alert, when to tune out.

If you haven't seen the end of Jeopardy for 9/11/09 (rerun from a few years ago as was the case this week) and don't know who won the two million dollar prize turn off after the announcement of the final clue. After the FC they do a bio of the person who won that game and the $2M.

Seriously! Only a hard core Jeopardyhead would have known the winner. Even though someone was leading it was possible for them to lose and someone else to have one. Nice way to blow it, D-Bags!

And they told us Eddie would win on Tuesday, and Ken would lose on Thursday.

Seriously, it's a summer rerun, and with a steady fan base, the outcome of the tournament was hardly a shocker these years later. Positioned as a rerun, it's a non-issue.

This was just done to fill up the last week of summer reruns. They aired what they considered the "best" episodes, including the first episode ever on Monday. The new season debuts tomorrow, with a completely new set. It reminds me a little bit of the set they had from 1991-1996.

I did watch that first "Jeopardy!" ever. I didn't start watching until 1986, when the Charlotte Observer movie critic was a contestant. I became hooked and have watched ever since. I shared an apartment with three other guys on a college campus that first season and from time to time I would see Final Jeopardy, but normally I went over to a dormitorey that time of day and watched "M*A*S*H" reruns.

But that was great seeeing how different it was, and how everything was new and had to be explained. And the audience had such strong reactions.

I didn't even hardly remember the old show, except the questions were so intellectual. It was for that reason I thought I wouldn't enjoy it.

Weird Al Yankovic did a parody of the hit song "Jeopardy" called "I Lost on Jeopardy" shortly before the new show started. Coincidence?
