Longtime WTOL anchor Jerry Anderson will sign off for the last time today after 40 years.

The Toledo anchor started his career in 1974 and started at the Raycom owned CBS affiliate in 1980.

Earlier this month the Toledo City Council honored Anderson for his commitment to the community on and off air.

“You’ve been a strong point, a steadying point to this community,” said one member.
