Bad news from the WIBG Facebook page, which reposted Jerry's Facebook post:
"2025 is ending today, and so has my tenure at WIBG radio. I was let go today by ownership for cost cutting reasons. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to wake you up for the last 15 years at 94.3. In February I celebrated my 40th year doing a morning show in South Jersey. I consider that a priceless gift. And as I always ended my show, “Show a little gratitude, because everyday is a gift. Make every second count.” God bless and may 2026 be a great year of new beginnings for us all."
I don't live in Jersey these days, but I listen to this station online a lot while at work. Great music and relatable — local —personalities. A shame to see this happen. Based on what I heard listening, he had a great morning show.
