Jerry Bott

Is the only reason he is on the air from time to time because he runs the station ? ??? He sounds awful.
Why does Belling allow this ? Or is this Bott's way of letting folks know that Mark doesn't have complete control of his show ?
I would rather listen to Don Rosen and he is a left wing wacko.

...back in 1991, Bott had the nerve to say to me, "There are no entertaining liberals in talk radio" -- and shortly after that, he had the gall to fire Don Vogel, clearly the most entertaining liberal to ever speak into a Milwaukee microphone...

I'm guessing that by "entertaining" he meant entertaining enough to draw an audience. So far Liberal Talk hasn't been able to do that. Same with Liberal TV (Fox News #1; MSNBC #9).

...you obviously are ignorant of the numbers Vogel was getting. It took WISN a decade to get back to the morning drive levels that Vogel was pulling in...

So then, exactly WHY was Vogel fired?

...Don told me it was mainly because he refused to kiss Belling's backside...

And now, Don's broadcasting from that great radio station in the sky! That was truly a loss. I've been searching on line with hopes of finding old Vogel audio clips, but I only found one. I was sure that after Milwaukee, he would have landed a gig on Chicago's formr AM 1000, as he filled in from time to time for Kevvin Matthews, but instead, he landed at KSTP in Miniapolis. Well, now that we have the internet and streaming and could have followed him, Don is no longer with us. Too bad!

...actually, Don was at KSTP in the mid-'80s, before he appeared on WMAQ/670 Chicago for a year and was shoved out by Westinghouse buying the station from NBC and flipping it from talk to all-news. He then landed at WGN/720, where he did weekends and fill-ins for another couple of years, but he eventually got in a feud of sorts with Bob Collins and Orion Samuelson. Then he got the WISN gig, and when Bott canned him, he went back to KSTP. There are some clips of him taking calls from T.D. Mischke on the Mischke Madness website archive, http://www.mischkemadness.com/mischke2.html...
