Jerry Reed dies at 71

Talk about an actor that was typecast! Wow, he was always the goofy "Cletus" guy.

He will definitely be missed. I always admired him for the funny songs. Have any of you ever owned one of those cars that he referenced in "Oh MR. Ford?

He could pick that guitar........."Amos Moses"was my favorite...

When I was PD at KLTZ in Glasgow, Montana in the early 70's, the General Manager made me pull that record and - no lie - said he didn't want any of that "acid rock" on his station. ???

I don't recall that he had any objections to "When You're Hot, You're Hot."

I always liked WYHYH too...and "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me"...gotta say my FAVORITE would be "East Bound & Down"-Theme From Smokey & The Bandit I. Rest In Peace, Jerry. :-[

I think we all should throw some groceries down our neck in honor of the Snowman and Fred, as he is currently running blocker for Jesus as this very moment! We'll miss ya jerry and what you brought to the country scene of the 1970's

I did a special about Jerry, and was told it was going to air on 99 5 The Wolf this weekend. 6 tunes, interview archives, etc.
