Jerry Williams' " A Child's Christmas in Wales" Anywhere?

C

Casablanca

Guest
Is anyone playing Jerry Williams recording of Dylan Thomas', " A Child's Christmas in Wales" on any radio station this year?

Not that I know of; it's online at jerrywilliams.org and even at my site raccoonradio.com but I don't
know what station will play it. Don't know if Howie would. Idea: ask Mo Lauzier to play it on his
Sat. show, if he's on (he can get someone to download it and play it from either site. My site has
it as m3u AND mp3 versions, if mp3s are easier to use...

Raccoon, I figured you for being naughty, but you must have been nice this year too. ;)

I think I heard Mo announce he'll play it tomorrow between 9 and 10.

I heard Mo Lausier say he would play Jerry's "Child's Christmas" tomorrow, Saturday, between 9 and 10 as well. It is one of the last recording Jerry did according to Mo and produced by the great Bill Smith.
Thanks, Mo. Thanks, Bill

Well, this raccoon promises he won't raid your family's Christmas presents the way he raids your barrels :)

And of course I can be nice; while I have expressed a bit of schadenfreude over the loss of Air America
in Boston, I've gotten on some liberal messageboards to relay news and make suggestions on what to do
to get libtalk back--maybe libtalk that even I would want to listen to (Alan Colmes for example!) And I've
been nice enough to post the WCRB/WKLB freq flip and yesterday's WKOX/WXKS format change.

You have been very nice, and you are forgiven for the schadenfreude over the loss of Air America in Boston because 1) your suggestions on what to do to get libtalk back seem sincere, 2) I enjoyed listening to the WKOX/WXKS format change (thank you) and 3) I can only imagine the pain you experienced after the election. ;)

Thanks! With regards to the election, and again please don't send this to Off the Air, I just thought it would be kinda nice if the other party had a little more than 5 per cent of the political officeholders...please? :) I don't
even belong to the Republicans but we do have a two party system (just not here :) ) And my pleasure
(back on topic!) to provide those sound clips.

Hey, various sites have provided some of this archival audio and it was my turn to contribute some. One of
these days I may take some cassettes I have and dub them for podcasting:

--Jerry Williams "one last show" on WRKO
--VB's last show with Howie
--Charles Laquidara's last show for WZLX

Yes, ARS. I still remember I went to see a matinee showing of the Albert Brooks
movie "The Scout", IIRC, on the day it was due to change. I knew they were going to change but didn't
tape it, etc., and the change was going to happen (late afternoon?) while I was in the theater. I came
out to my car and heard Eagle 93.7 for the first time (1994)

By the way in doing an online search for info, I found an "about.com" reference to what is now WMKK.
It talked about how they went to Mike FM on April 14, 2005. It quotes an Inside Radio bit that said
that had the format change not taken place, Infinity was due to change either WBMX or WZLX to
Jack-FM on April 15...yes we had heard the rumor that 'BMX was considering Jack, but I didn't
know that 'ZLX was also considered for the format, or that they had an actual date for the possible
format flip.
