Unbelievable! First, Ken Mann, and now Jess Branson. Seems like Macon has lost two of its radio journalistic legends within a span of less than a month.

I live in Atlanta and buy media. Jess Branson was my salesperson for Cumulus in Macon.

I had noticed his great voice and diction (with a bit of a Southern accent), but I had no idea that he was so accomplished as a newscaster and sports play-by-play person.

The last time we spoke was fairly recent, perhaps 2 months ago. Someone from Cumulus emailed me a few weeks ago and said Jess was out for health issues. I was shocked to learn of Jess' passing.
