as a family we decided to bring dad home this friday 12/28/07. Obvioulsy his condition is still terminal, but he is feeling better and he wants to come home, so we have granted his wish. Thank you for all of your kind words. I am sure all of the letters and visitors had a lot to due with him "feeling better."

Michael...

For all of us who admire and respect your Dad and his many talents...I think I can safely say that Jess is in our thoughts and prayers.

My best wishes to your entire family.

Jess Cain is blessed with a great gift to make others smile and laugh.

He made many very dreary New England mornings almost bearable . . . . the best ones being when he brought us the much hoped for "no school" announcements!

He has shared his precious gift of humor with countless thousands of New Englanders over the years.

I'm sure we all hope that he is now able to share what time he has left with his family and friends, but he must know that there are many, many folks who remember his talents with great fondness and admiration, and that we will keep him in our prayers.

God bless you, Jess Cain!

Hi Michael:

As a person who had parents who were both terminally ill, I know what you're going through. Granting your Dad's wish to go home is the best gift he can ever receive, to be with family and friends. Your Dad's voice was very reassuring over the years. I know my Dad always listened to your Dad's show, for years, on WHDH. I pray that you, your family and your Dad will truly share this precious time together. Take care and God bless you, your Dad and your family.
