Today would have been my father's 82 birthday. Its been a tough 4 months, but we are looking forward to the HOF in November. Once again the family wants to thank everyone for the their kind words

Your dad always made me laugh. I read your post and just remembering him brought a smile to my face. I remember one day I was in the Engineering shop at WHDH in Govt. Center (I was Chief Engineer then). Jess had retired but came in to cut some spots and stopped in to tell a joke (as he always did). I was drinking a Diet Coke and I laughed so hard that it sprayed out of my nose all over the floor. Jess looked at me (by now I was laughing harder then anyone else in the room) and said: "Yep-timing IS everything!".

At that point, I lost it. I was laughing so hard that I had to sit down.

I envy you. You had him every day-yet were willing to share him with the rest of us. For that I am grateful to you.

Please give your family my best.
