Jets on NBC

Watching the final moments of that game, I began thinking about how long the Jets were on NBC, from the old days. They've been such a fixture on Channel 4 from my youth. We always assumed that the Giants are on Channel 2 and the Jets on Channel 4. Then FOX had to come in and mess that up. Even when the Giants appeared for one game this season on Channel 2 it felt a bit weird, as I thought they had to be on Channel 5 and the Jets on Channel 2.

I know that the Jets already had a few appearances on NBC this regular season but it still feels like someone familiar is returning to the channel, from the AFL days.

During one of the first years of interleague baseball, I thought it was weird seeing the New York Yankees on TBS - playing the Atlanta Braves. These days, it's close to the norm on some Sundays.
