Just heard Jewelz is back on Pulse87!!! it was just a vacation, and i thought the rumors were true. Way to go Pulse always unpredictable.

Jewelz is Back on Pulse87!!!

So why did they take her off the site?
maybe when they took of star & buc wild something happened. she is on i just looked. and a new photo.
I will say it in this manner.....
Jewelz has a FOLLOWING on Pulse 87. Unlike Star, who was on urban stations before he went to dance, Jewelz was known on 'KTU. Those same fans that remembered her there went over to Pulse 87. My understanding is that she was one of the highest rated personalities on the station. During the whole scare of last week, so many people were asking me about Star and Jewelz. Star had the opportunities to say his final words....Jewelz didn't and that actually upset people because everyone felt "blindsided"...not of her own doing, mind you, but just happening out of the blue.
So, based on that I would like to think things may have been "rethought" and having Jewelz on the station made more sense than letting her go.
Nothing against Abel Sanchez, who did her shift, or any personality there and I would think everyone would actually agree with me that for the week, something was "missing".

I wish Star was back too! Jewelz was NOT on vacation. Her entire profile was wiped off of the site and not once did Abel say his was filling in for her.
I emailed Jewelz through her web site cause I had to know what was going on. I still haven't gotten over KTU/Clear Channel dumping her back in '06. She wrote me back a very nice email and said she could not comment on why she left but that she hoped to be back on Pulse someday. Looks like that someday is here... already. I slammed Pulse with emails complaining about Jewelz being gone. Hopefully she is back for good!!!

Trust me on this, you were not the only one that sent e-mails! I was getting a barrage of e-mails regarding Jewelz, upset, being damned, cursed out, etc. And I don't work at the station or had anything to do with her leaving! But it was people that were upset and angry and I certainly could understand that. They sought me out trying to find out as much info regarding this and I was digging to the best of my ability trying to find out what went down.
But, yes you are right. If Jewelz was still on the station, Abel would have said he was filling in for Jewelz who was on vacation....which is the normal thing most jocks would do by filling someone's shift.
Pulse did the right thing by bringing Jewelz back because, quite frankly, it was bad enough that the Star & Buc Wild morning show was pulled. Yet with her leaving it was a double whammy! Jewelz has a HUGE following. In effect, she became another "marquee" name. Quite honestly, I was wondering how Pulse was going to make it without her.
But, hopefully on Monday, she's back!

Maybe Jewelz got an offer from 92.5 in Tampa (owned by CBS radio) but she did not want to accept it, so she went back to Pulse. Its pretty rare for an employee to leave a company with another job offer, and return to the same company within a week (and get hired back). If she's voicetracking for 92.5, she will technically "be in 2 places at once".
