JILL FM

Jill is a mess. I thought some real help was coming, but it has actually gotten dramatically worse. For a brief period we had these high energy promos going into slow tempo music -- total trainwreck. The music selection has also gotten worse "if that's even possible." This is one of the worst stations I have heard in 20 plus years of radio. Why don't these morons program these stations locally and try something out of the box or sell the stations.

What a pile of radio crap.

There continues to be a disconnect between not wanting to totally give up on Thousand Oaks while being primarily an Orange County station. But this morning I had to laugh when I heard a spot for a local pharmacy in Newbury Park advertising it needed to get rid of all of its Precious Moments figurines. Talk about a retail ad taken to the extreme. The station does not know what it wants to do. BV says he wants to target 37 year old women as the audience, but as shown on this board, the station is getting praise from 50+ year old men instead. The voice overs for the station do not sound like anything you would put on a "cool 37 year old woman" station. The upside is BV almost never stays anywhere more than a year or so before he jumps to the next best thing. So in a year, there is a chance for someone else to go clean it up.
