Jill Taylor Exits KPLZ

Lotus corporate folks were in town this week. Sources say a new morning show is in place beginning in January so that puts Curt Kruse's recent return in doubt. And radio will be staying at the crystal palace for the first part of '22 as a new studio location hasn't yet been finalized.

How long will Lisa Adams last? It sure doesn't seem like she can last at a station that long.
Well. it's different employer, so maybe it's a better match.
The bigger news is it looks like Curt Kruse was turfed (again) and it doesn't look like they will flip to a Spanish-type format.

I feel bad for Curt. He just couldn’t win with KPLZ. I hope this new direction works out for them, and I’m glad to see that the current format will continue.

I don't know. Given that she's worked for Hubbard/Sandusky three different times with stops in Portland and two different companies in Boise, I don't know if the employer has anything to do with it. Then again, I will congratulate Lotus if they can keep her on for even half as long as they had Kent.

KPLZ is teasing the future of Star 101.5 is coming on January 3rd.

Any guesses? Live 1015, Mix 1015, Z1015, or keeping the Star brand?

what about any of this makes you think they will rebrand away from Star 101.5
It’s common for stations to rebrand once they refresh the lineup. We’ve seen it with 92.5, 93.3 and 1061.

They are referring to the next Chapter of Star. it's possible that that they will keep the brand.

Who knows? Rebrand seems possible. The bigger question is format. My bet is there will be a soft format change, as in they change imaging but kind of stay the same. (And by soft format change I do not mean soft rock, just a slight format/imaging term).

Here's my guess: They will roll off all the high end above 1,000Hz, to make it sound like the music is being played under water. The branding will change from Star 101.5 to Starfish 101.5.

She moved to another station or she left the business ? After having presented for 27 year's the top 8 at eight on format radio, I definitely understand she finally gave up, but tenacity is amazing!
