Jim Braude Solo Show?

I just heard a commercial spot on 96.9 for "Jim Braude, this fall on 96.9"

No mention of Ego, though, just Rowdy.

Hmmmm ......

I have NO idea who this "Jim Braude" you speak of, is.
But please back up your reason for your use of the words "Ego" and "Rowdy."
Otherwise, lets leave the name calling for the off-board, hm?

Lighten up. Even Jim Braude and Margery Egan of the Boston Herald make fun of their names on air. She even mispronounced her own surname. Called herself "Eagle" instead of Egan.
The are a good match -just slightly less confrontational than Whitley and Clapprood. So, the previous poster was only picking up on what the do on air.

Say it ain't so! The only thang that make that hour bearable is the "female Norm Crosby of Greater Media" Braude is like nails on the blackboard! Ooff Fa! See Ya!

heard him, very boring, agreed

Ok, but since i don't know who "Jim Braude" is, how would I know this?
There's no way for me to know that the "ego" comment is light hearted ribbing. But I offer my apology for the misunderstanding.

Re: Goodbye Margerie Eagen and the use of funny names

I make up names for hosts on both sides. Just a habit, I guess.

My reason for speculation was that since Egan AND Bradue host the show on 96.9, and they are running a commercial spot for just Braude, "this fall on 96-9", maybe he's getting his own show.

Maybe Jay Severin is taking Margerie Eagen with him as his on-the-air sidekick at his new syndicated gig?

I am the opposite, I didn't mind him(although I was turned off by his constant Cambridge ramblings), but I couldn't stand Egan. I have never listened to someone who works in the news that was so clueless and unaware of things going on around her. you'd think that someone who writes pieces like hers would be fairly up-to-date on the goings-on around her. She was the reason I stopped listening to them. She sounded like she knew nothing going on past her college graduation date...unless she wrote about it that is. I just couldn't stand her aloofness.

Re: Goodbye Margerie Eagen and the use of funny names

I stopped listening to them when Air America started... never liked Eagan's middle-aged sorority girl schtick... Braude has moved much more to the center in recent years but, compared to the rest of the lineup, is still a hardcore lefty... anyway, I don't think I'm too curious about the new show.
