Jim Buchanan out at WICC 600, replaced by Dave Ramsey

Does Ramsey pay to play? He should ... the show is one big infomercial and it's awful. It's a platform for his financial "products" and for the "advisors" who I'm sure pay him for the referral. The shows are evergreen (neither live nor local) so they can be aired randomly. That's not what a news/talk station is supposed to be about. Sad that WICC has to stoop to this.
 
I can still remember listing to WICC back in their music days when I lived on long Island once upon a time. They were the WABC of Bridgeport. That's cumulus for you. If memory serves me correctly this has happened once before at WICC. When cumulus took over they dropped most of the little music the station was playing at the time in favor of syndicated talk. The listeners showed them how much they disliked that by not listening. Eventually cumulus opened up the broadcast day to some more local programing, but the station was never the same. Now they are doing it again and I don't think they are going to care as much this time.
