Jim Cramer comes to KNX starting 2/13 at Noon

Jim Cramer's Real Money, which had been airing weekends on KFI, moves to KNX. His Monday-Friday consumer-based finance and investment show will air tape-delayed from noon-1pm PT.

Another hour of KNX News is sacrificed to talk / business talk.
______________
Peace is the word, and the Voice of the Peace is THE station, 24 hours a day. (Tribute to the VOP 1540 which broadcast for 20 years in the Eastern Mediterranean)

Well that's a double slap in the face.

Not only is David G. Hall dismantling
a heritage all-news station piece by
piece (and you thought Cheap Channel
was destroying El-Lay radio!)...
but a tape-delayed show in weekday
middays?

Wait till you see what he puts on weeknights after 6pm....oooo I can hardly wait.

Here in NYC, he'll be on Free Radio WFNY/92.3, the former WXRK: 92.3 K-ROCK.
CBS/WW1 needs major market affiliates to lure advertisers.

Wasn't Cramer ousted as part of the weekend realignment that added John and Ken Saturdays? I did think his market wrap added something to the afternoon casts, though.

An unresearched, out-of-market thought; since the folks over at 1260 love flipping formats and retooling all the time, why don't they flip to "business news", air some market updates and sell the majority of the time, perhaps clearing Cramer live? The financial shows paying $5k/hour on Saturdays on KLSX could pay the same weekly rate and do a daily show on 1260, mixed in with the Doug Fabian national types.

I think they'd be the first close-to-full market signal (as opposed to KTYM) to broker time any time you wanted it and could command rates accordingly.

What? Bring back the Drama Hour? Move Phil Hendrie from 570? Tell us!

Amen. First a happy talk team in the morning, then in the afternoon, now Larry Van Nuys all over the schedule doing hard news with a smirk in his voice, Bob McCormick holding court all morning, and now more KFI flavor. Great work DGHall, this is exactly the recipe that will see KNX's ratings soar. Why not just throw in the towel and let Melinda and Jeff yack all weekend? Sheesh.

"BOOYAH!"

A fantasy solution.....

Who ever buys ABC Radio can farm out Radio Disney to, say, 1650, and turn the frequency into...say...."Eyewitness News 1110." Partner up with Channel 7, and market yourself as Southern California's TRUE all news station.

Ok...my keyboard to Braverman's ear....
