You make good points, but the fact of the matter is that the show is profitable for WGST, even with content and ratings that can best be described as mediocre.
I'm sure WGST is very happy with the money that the Earl Smalls account and that Hummer dealership bring in year after year.
At least for that reason, you can make the case that WGST can't afford to lose the Kimmer even though they know the show is terrible....and is far less questionable than why Tom Hughes is still on the air.
