Jim Harper to retire

WMGC Morning Show host and longtime radio personality Jim Harper will be retiring in late December. Harper has been a fixture of Detroit radio for more than three decades working at WNIC, WDTX and most recently at WMGC.

This is most likely due to cost cutting by WMGC but it may portend a format flip. If it does, it would mean the loss of the last straight AC format station in the Detroit market.
