I have cable. Have not watched TV with an antenna in 40+ years. No clue. Who knows if they will continue any local programming on 35 with the sale..do not know the new owner take over date.
Med-Com., Inc. just sold Channel 35 LPTV a few days ago.
I believe Phil filled in a few times. Have heard rumors Steve French might retire soon. Just rumors.

Cable, satellite, or streaming is fine but there is still a cost which some would rather not pay. Also, OAT sub channels like Decades, Retro TV and Grit have some good variety for those looking for older shows. Some of these channels are not carried on cable or equivalent.
I’ve known Phil since the 1990’s. He wants to stay. He just bought a home a couple years ago. Too ”young” to retire. Heck, very few of us, regardless of age, totally retire. The eras of huge pensions and leisurely, cash-flush, total retirement is pretty much a thing of the past....which is unfortunate but is the real world today. Most work at least parttime because we need the extra income.

I will have cable as long as I can. I don’t like older TV shows and antenna TV free channels exclusively. And, do not subscribe to streaming services. It is simply up to the individual to invest their cash as they see fit.
