Jim & Kim go to Fresh?

This sucks for K-Joy. I wonder how much of their add revenue is tied around mornings. I used to Board Op remotes for them - Jim was always a great guy to chat with on the 2-way. Great sense of humor.
 
A few thoughts come to mind. First the winners in this at least in the short-run are Mark and Cindy on WALK. They're already doing well at least to my knowledge and unless KJOY does something spectacular in the mornings the loss of Jim and Kim on KJOY can only benefit WALK. The next thought is that this is just not a loss for KJOY, this is an absolute disaster for the station and probably the worst crisis the station is facing. KJOY has built practically its entire identity on Jim and Kim and John Tesh, " Wake up with Jim and Kim, drive home with John Tesh and enjoy the great variety all day." Another thought is that poor Bill Edwards is probably in a foul mood this week. Loosing Jim and Kim is not exactly a career booster. Finally, I think the best way to respond is for Edwards to replace Jim and Kim with an established performer who already has the respect of the listeners. I'm referring to KJOY's own Party Marty who's already done mornings many times subbing for Jim Douglas and done an excellent job. Give him AM drive, pair him up with Flo Featherman or Holly Levis and Edwards might be able to prevent any damage.
 
I have to disagree. Edwards doesn't sound like a morning jock to me. Way too stiff. Not much of a personality.
