Here's a novel idea: why don't we show the man some respect and do the exact opposite? It's terribly easy to pick someone else apart, but it's not usually an enjoyable experience when you're on the receiving end. Yes, I know he's a local personality. Let me pre-empt any argument like that by mentioning that he's also a human being with feelings like everyone else on these boards.

For whatever reason, there's a lot of negativity - not just about prof - in these parts. Read the other threads if you question that. Jim has had a long and prosperous career in radio, and it's been such for what should be obvious reasons (i.e. he's good at what he does). You don't get that far without the skills to back it up.
