Jim Ladd Has Been Hired By...

What a surprise, he ends up on the same station that has good friend Tom Petty's show. Small World.

One element is a bit of a surprise though - the SiriusXM rock channels have a noticeable absence of west coast DJs. Ladd is the first one of any prominence that I can think of.

Most of the Faction channel's on-air staff are L.A.-based. Other jocks like Swedish Egil and Richard Blade are here too. I think the Playboy channel is based here......the L.A. studio is pretty small and there are no programming execs in-house to oversee operations.

True. I was thinking more of their album rock channels, Deep Tracks, Classic Rewind, and Top Tracks and even the Spectrum (AAA). My channel flipping does land on Egil's show once in awhile, although I don't spend any quality time on Faction.
