Jim Laski on WGN.

I heard this crook Jim Laski being interviewed by Steve Bertrand on GN awhile back and was kind of laughing at how Steve seemed to revere Jim, and a great talk radio was had when the first caller called out Steve for having a crook on and treating him with such reverence and scorn heaped toward Jim for being a crook.

Well tonight Brian Noonan is doing an early even shift and says that Jim Laski will be doing Brian's normal late night spot.
WGN: Crooks and former critics and competition welcome.
Oh how the mighty have fallen. :D

Crook? What do you know about Laski's background?

Are we not Innocent til proven guilty??

I'm just wondering.

1. Crooks? You stilol haven't proven "crook." Do you have any idea the number of cranks that call every talk shhow and the low percentage of people who get on the air. I though you didn't.

2. "former critics" If you are referring to Nick - her is STILL a critic. If you would listen to his show you would here movie reviews.

3. "competition" This my inexperienced friend is the way of radio. LOTS of folks at WCFL during their rock days had been an alum of wls. LOTS of WIND jocks were 'cfl or 'ls alums.

I thought Laski did a good job overnight - considering it was his first shot on a great blowtorch. Did you ever hear Uncle Bobby's first show? He was very nervous.

There you go again. ;)

You asked about being innocent and being guilty, well don't you worry your little head.
From Jim's own bio.

While serving his third term in office, Laski pleaded guilty to taking $48,000 in payoffs to get companies into the city's scandal-plagued Hired Truck Program following a two-year federal investigation of the scandal-plagued program that was designed to save money by outsourcing the city's hauling work to private truckers but which prosecutors say is awash in corruption. He pleaded guilty to one count of bribery and was sentenced on May 25 2006.

Jim paid his debt to society, serving 11 months in the Federal Penitentiary in West Virginia

Since when do you have to be a paragon of virtue to be on the air? I mean, it's not like we want to go to confession to him or anything.
