Jim McKnight

Anyone know if Jim McKnight (Jim McGaha)? is still in the Cincinnati area. I heared that he use to dj on WSAI-FM. Jim was a popular dj in Terre Haute, IN. in the late 60's early 70's on 1230 WBOW. I'm looking for old air-checks from WBOW. Thanks

Jim is still in the area living in Ky. Don't know if any airchecks exist, but he is doing well and stays clear of radio work.

I'm glad he's doing well, It's a shame that their's so little air-checks of WBOW. I have two old music serveys that has his picture on them from 1968 and 1971. It would have been fun to have him on the reunion show that aired about 3 years ago. I'd love to send him a copy if he's interested. Thanks for your reply.

I went to high school with Jim, enjoyed listening to him on the air, glad to hear he's doing well. Would be interested to know his where a bouts though.

Being an old timer I remember WCKY in the 50's, would like to find the theme music for the Will Lenay show that was on in the afternoon. Just sort of hangs in my mind, ya know.

I remember Will Lenay being on both WCKY and before that, WSAI. I even saw him on local TV a couple of times - either on a telethon or filling in for someone. The only intro-music - it was not really a theme song as you think of them - was a girl vocalist singing "Will Le-Nay" and he would quickly come in with, "Thanks, honey and I'm with you for the next three hours (or whatever the length of his show was)". He was on WCKY during the late morning hours in the 1950's and prior to that in the afternoons at WSAI.
