Jim Nettleton was 69 when he died on October 4, 2009. Lung cancer.

I never had the pleasure of hearing any of Jim’s Philadelphia work but I remember him fondly from his weekends on WABC.

R.I.P. Jim.

Here are some great airchecks of Jim at WFIL. I had sent some from WCAU-FM, but they never got posted. Jim's work was so effective, they STILL use his VO for The Scooter Store commercial on TV! You hear him everyday.

Here's a whole bunch of WFIL checks, including George Michael (the Time Machine, WABC) and WIBG as well.

more Jim Nettleton at www.musicradio77.com Jim was the nicest fellow you'd ever want to work with. Opps, he'd yell at me for that...always correcting my copy...with whom you'd want to work.

WFIL, WDRC, WABC, WPEN, WCAU-FM, WUSL, WOGL. Followed him on all those stations. Nice guy on and off the air.
