Jim Pruett passes

RIP to a Texas radio icon, he worked in both Houston and Dallas, and his run in Dallas was at the iconic KEGL 97.1 The Eagle. i found out of his passing on today's edition of the Russ Martin show, which airs on the same station where Pruett worked at in the 1980s and not to mention was possibly a co-worker with Russ during the 80s. i have never listen to Stevens and Pruett due to well not being born yet or being too old as i was born in the mid 1980s, but i understand and respect their legend in Texas.

and off-topic, Russ Martin himself has been dealing with health issues lately where he suffered a blood clot a while back and was in the hospital on 3 separate occasion and pretty much has a hole inside his heart and needs an operation to fix it but the insurance company is giving him crap about it. so let's hope we don't have to put a RIP Russ Martin post in the near future.

now back on topic, RIP Jim Pruett, your now reunited with Stevens on that radio station in Heaven.

Will miss you Jimbo...

You were one of a kind. Hero and icon all in one. A little part of ALL of us died that day.
