Jim Rome vs. jay Mohr

shocking to see that in many sportsradio mkts that jim rome onetime dominated he is now being killed by priemere radio's jay mohr.....cbs is not getting the return with jim rome they thought they would!

Where are the numbers supporting this?

I'm not being argumentative, just noting that I've seen nothing to indicate that Mohr is wiping the floor with Rome as you purport.

Certainly Rome won't pull the numbers he had on ESPN Radio having moved to a new platform, but CBS Sports Radio has very good clearance and FSR seems to be pulling back.

If indeed this is happening, it's a great topic for discussion, I'm just not sure it is.

IMO, Mohr puts on an all right show, but he's not the sports guy Rome is. I rank Mohr behind Cowherd, and Cowherd behind Rome.

In tampa rome is being crushed and that is just one of the many markets jay mohr is pounding him in..and rome was with premiere radio not espn radio..premiere radio is the best syndicator in the country..yes cbs has the mkts..but remember cbs always as stations trended to older listeners...look at wfan's numbers..alot of 35-65 numbers

Jim Rome is Burning was an ESPN show.

I'll take your word for Tampa, although I don't what what the specific Dayparts are.

WDAE does greatly outpace WHFS, however since WDAE broadcasts the local pro sports team, that likely explains the difference, not that Mohr is dominanting Rome.

One had to know when Jim Rome moved to CBS that was the beginning of his plan to leave radio. When longtime employees like Stew left that was the last nail in the coffin............Jim Rome has had a good run.

Jay Mohr is ok, deviates too much for my taste from sports. He was a great smack off caller and sub for Jim Rome, but full time.........eh.

I too wander who is doing better Jim or Jay?

If anyone has ever listening to his show, the mentality & IQ of the average participant seems to be that of a 12 YEAR OLD these days !!!

I say that because either I've gotten older & wiser since I used to listen to him in his prime back in the '90s & early 2000s or Social Media has just dragged the intel quality of his show WAY WAY down :(

Is it just me who feels this way ??

Cheers & 73 ;D

mohr sucks now

still love rome. cant stand mohr on his own, and the way he plugs his comedy shows, talk about a money whore. and I don't care that he goes to church on sunday, he can keep that to himself
