Jim Schoenfeld sung?

Way back, I think it was 1973, WGR was playing a song called "By the Fireside" and I thought it was by Jim Schoenfeld, it was around the time when the song "We're Going To Win That Cup" was playing. Can anybody in Western New York help me with this one?

He released an album called "Schony". I've got it hiding in my vinyl collection somewhere. Don't remember the song you mentioned, but I do remember his odd, slow take on "Great Balls Of Fire". Couldn't unseat "Houses Of The Holy", though......

The Schoney album was the brainchild of Jerry Meyers and featured John Valby. Done around 73. Were Gonna Win that cup was sung by Donna McDaniels a year or two later. Local girl who went on to be a back up tour sing for Motley Crue in the 80's.
