Jim Scott passes

An excellent article and some good photos of Jim here:
Excellent article.

I’m one of those goofballs that assembles my dream personality lineup. Jim was my morning guy. In an era of angry voices, Jim was always bright and upbeat, assuring listeners that there was still a lot of good stuff going on in the world. I appreciated and admired that.

The world needs more Jim Scott’s.
 
And yet nothing on WLW’s web site but iHeart’s typical generic clickbait. At least they posted something on their X site.

Sad news indeed. I listened to Jim on WSAI when he replaced Stu Bauer in the morning slot in the late 60s. He was instantly likable. One of Randy Michaels’ most brilliant moves at WLW was to move Gary Burbank to afternoons and bring on Jim Scott for morning drive.
