Jim Sharpe enters the building...

At Jim's suggestion to close the "Jim Sharpe will leave the building..." thread, I thought it was high time that we start a new topic...for his re-entering the building...for the third time. ;D

To start the topic off with a bang, let's give Jim some ideas on topics he can use for his Twitter account. ;)

Congrats again, Jim!!!

Jim Sharpe has the talent to sound like an easygoing friend on the air, reflective of the good person he is in real life. He's always been one of my favorites.

The bonus of local radio is sounding in-touch with the community, so, smart call on Smokey's part. Jim has always been involved in giving back to the community. I worked with him to raise funds for the Valley of the Sun Community Diaper Bank, and he and his wife, Karen, work diligently to save unwanted and abandoned dogs from the euthanasia list. And the guy's got a rock band!

Another "good news in radio" story!

This is great news. Now I can get that operation that I've needed.

There have been a couple of laws passed in AZ recently that make me want to move there(just what Jim wanted to hear). AZ sounds like my kind of state, except for the heat.

And, based on what I heard in the 6:30 half hour (and in his past fill-ins),
Jim leans conservative too. Way to go, Sharpemeister! :)

Although I could have done without his phoner lovefest with Candy Andy. ::)

Leans libertarian, really. Check the source of his sig quote; not too many straight conservatives willing to associate themselves with the author of "How to Drive Fast on Drugs While Getting Your Wing-Wang Squeezed and Not Spill Your Drink". (I know from years of experience with another O'Rourke tag as my usenet sig.)

....and whats the deal with on air people and Beverly Kidd? Last time I heard anything like love fest was back when Gaydos was in the old 9 to midnight, 9 to midnight, 9 to midnight shift. (but if you do need a drummer, I'll be happy to fill in)

I'm sure Jim is a nice guy. I've never met him. He has to be one of the most boring people I've heard on the radio. I wish the guy well, but I won't be listening.

I heard some of it this morning. Sounded pretty good to me. Nothing too wild, but sounds pretty good for that time slot in my opinion.
