I like Jim Vicevich and agree with some of his politics but I find his show virtually impossible to listen to. It is disjointed, harried, and constantly interrupted by traffic, weather, ads and music. I suspect that the actual monologue and conversations take up less than half of each half hour block. Jim has a problems finishing his thoughts within the short time spans! Do radio professionals agree?

I guess since WTIC is dedicated to traffic and weather - to the point where the traffic reporter sometimes goes to a guy in a helicopter for extended traffic - yes, a traffic report within a traffic report, in this economy and the days of "hub" traffic i.e. Metro, what a concept - that Jim does his show in this framework (don't forget the MarketWatch updates, or as he calls them, the TARP fund watch :D ). Also, while I do find the musical selections interesting (anyone else got that Sunny Swinney song stuck in their head?) many would agree that they don't fit on a conventional talk show unless they were being used as straight-up bumper music.

Nothing like a scatter-brained host to make the audience feel confident in the subject matter. Fifteen minutes of show content and fifteen minutes commercials, bumpers, music beds etc, etc::) All that equals BAD PROGRAMMING! Find another station, and do it PDQ! ;D

Vicevich has a solid following in Hartford talk radio, and his knowledge of how the economy works is vast. He comes from a business background, and he knows how to explain things so the average person can understand. Personally, I think that he is Syndication material.

If anything, he's good enough to fill in for Rush for a few days on one of his "vacation" days...

Certain people who shall remain nameless at a certain CBS FMer think JV is annoying and should be axed and I agree with them.

LOL!!! I love those sound bytes! "It's NOT your money...". Cavuto reply, "IT IS!!!!". Great radio.

"Say Amen... ("Amen!") ... and Amen... ("Amen!")"

By the way, I always wondered who the pastor was behind that sound byte. I'm a fairly new listener, so if I were to guess, I'd have to say the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Even TIC-AM the biggest AM signal in CT has far too much satellite programming.

At a time when CBS is flirting with selling its Hartford cluster, be grateful for at least 10 hours of local programming a day!

Ahh Vicevitch...the prep school bred, Bucknell educated child who somehow has the nerve to call Democrats "elitist". Family values Jim...who is divorced and made quite an impression at the bar Tickets in Avon in the early 1990s. All these republicans seem to be the most dysfunctional angry misfits...why is that? Family values...
