Jimmie Allen

Serious allegations have been made by country star Jimmie Allen's former manager.
Have country radio stations made any changes in promoting his music, in response to them? The allegations are serious, but of course it will take a while before they are heard in court.

His record label has also suspended him, so we likely won't be hearing any new music from him anytime soon.
A far as radio play is concerned, "Best Shot" is still in rotation on 99.5 WYCD (Audacy) in Detroit and 102.9 W4 (Cumulus) in Ann Arbor, but it wasn't being played more than a few times a week anyway. I don't know if there are bans taking place elsewhere.

As of Friday night, playlists of five random stations I checked out on Online Radio Box showed Allen still being played on four of them, mostly "Down Home," his big hit over the winter that's still a recurrent. None showed any airplay for his new single, "Be Alright," the song his label has said it will stop promoting, but it hadn't received its big push to radio when these allegations broke. I have four country stations in my area and not one of them was playing it yet.

This is one of these problematic things in that you have an accusation with no real proof yet. With Morgan Wallen, people had a video, and they reacted to that. The other thing with Jimmie is that he's not a huge star. He has five songs currently getting airplay. Down Home is his most recent #1, and it's still getting played. He doesn't have a current song in the Top 30. So it's hard to say where this goes. He just wrapped up a massive tour with Carrie Underwood. He has no tour dates scheduled. He has shut down his social media sites.
