Jimmy ‘Cannonball’ Parsons Returns

Jimmy Parsons, one of the last of the 1960’s era rock and roll personalities from WAAT, WMID and later WPGR in the 1990’s, announced a few weeks ago he would return to “Philadelphia Gold Radio” internet station Fridays from 1 to 4 pm. he had been on PGR 5 days a week until retiring. He returned in August to do a tribute show to the late Bob Charger and decided that day he needed to return to the air. If you lived through 1960’s radio or never heard it, the Cannonball is one of the last personalities that really sounds like top 40 radio of that era!
