Jimmy Johnson Pitchman

Wasn't sure where to post this, however, info-mercials run nationally. Fell asleep with the TV on and was awakened in the wee hours by Jimmy Johnson, the former NFL coach, pitching for Extenze. A few weeks back there was Jimmy pitching for a financial guy. Possibly both of these products have some merit, however, most of us know their claims are questionable. Question is, why would a high profile guy like Johnson who has had success in the NFL and a steady gig on Fox accept these gigs? The immediate answer most of you will post is money and/or greed. Johnson's agents apparently have no concern for his image.

It has to be money.
I can't think of any real altruistic reasons for pimping male enhancement products.
Don't blame him for that one too much though it's been on for a year or more.
And you just gotta figure part of why he got the gig was his name was a pun for the Extenze crowd to just get a kick out of.

Good points, Quad. Aikman must have the same agent as he is doing spots for one of those Rent-A-Centers that rent appliances, furniture, and computers to poor folks who have no credit. Hulk Hogan is the co-pitch guy on those spots.

Springer, Povich, and the "judge" shows looming in the future for Jimmy?

His coaching career is over. For every Pat Summerall that lasts 50 years doing NFL games, there are dozens of ex coaches, ex players who last only a handful of years with the big money.

Jimmy sees the clock ticking. Key West ain't cheap.

BTW either Troy Aikman got really, really tall since he retired...or all those back surgeries shrunk the Hulkster, "brother".

Hogan, in his prime was 6'7"

Hogan was known for embellishing his height. I think he even wore lifts back then.
Undoubtedly there's been some physical toll on him, too.
