One of the nicest human beings you will ever meet, and a totally regular guy.

When he and Steve came back to Y97 he was ecstatic one day that his Golf Magazine subscription had caught up to him from his Florida address.

Good for him and good for Y108.

I'm just happy that his employer will no longer insult him by insisting he go by "Jumping" Jimmy Roach.

Who'd they replace him with? Hoppity Hooper? Tad Pole?

How about Sammy Swamp. And when he got busy on his air shift and couldn't take a request, he could simply say, "man, I can't do it. I am SWAMPED right now!

I had the pleasure of working with Jimmy Roach at Y108/WEEP/Rebel in the early-mid 90s. Without a doubt, one of the finest people ever in this business. Not at all the diva you find in most morning show talents.

One way to butter him up...cheese peanut butter crackers! He used to snack on those all the time when I worked there. Knowing Jimmy, he probably still does.

I wish him the best of luck. He's one of the very few people that are the heart and soul of Pittsburgh.

Add huge glasses of sweet tea to that kenhawk. He loves his sweet tea, too.

Jimmy is a class act and genuine guy with no diva behavior.
