I would tell you that most radio jingles since the 1950's or 60's originated in Dallas, Texas. You've heard them everywhere, even outside of the US. TM, of course is in Dallas, as are many other companies, large and small. Very frequently, the same session singers and arrangers work at any or all of the studios. Over the years, even the background music tracks have migrated from one studio to another. That certainly makes for some similarity in the sound of jingles that come from Dallas studios.
I suspect that because the "Dallas Sound" is so universal, it is just what people expect jingles to sound like. How many ways can you sing call letters and frequency? Reelworld is Seattle based, but they are still competing with the Dallas jingle industry, so it would be logical that they would offer a similar product. I don't know any of the people at Reelworld, but is possible they even have Dallas connections. According to their web site, several Dallas stations use their jingles, so there may be a connection. Anybody know?
