JJ Jackson off to Louisville

JJ Jackson just told me he's gotten a job as morning host of a Clear Channel station in Louisville called Louis 100.5, a "Jack" type station that does plan to include jocks such as J.J.
He's leaving for Louisville on November 27. He will continue to voicetrack other Clear Channel stations. Maybe Lite 94.9 might let him voicetrack after he moves to Louisville.

That is just a shame..

> JJ, is a great guy. I am so sad. Oh well, another great jock, gone from atlanta. Man clear channel stinks.
______________

I had the pleasure of briefly coming to know JJ during a short stint of co-hosting a show on GST last year and he's a great guy. Super friendly, funny as hell, and with more radio know-how than most of us could ever dream of having. I hope it works out for him.

Re: That is just a shame..

He's one of the last of the breed of professional broadcaster who loves the business, is good at it, and is a nice person. We'll miss you!

When I first came to Atlanta in 1994, JJ was instantly one of my favorite jocks in the market. I got to know him just a little, and he's definitely a great guy and a real radio pro.

Wait a second...!!?

This sounds like a freakin' FUNERAL!!

Gimme a chance to get up there and get on Louie-FM and then you can catch the stream.

It's a great radio station or else I wouldn't be moving!

Best of luck JJ. We already miss you here in Atlanta.

Re: Wait a second...!!?

JJ, you always reminded me of Dick Heatherton of CBS-FM fame (ca 1975-85). If you don't know his work, trust me, it's a compliment. I enjoyed listening to your energy, humor, and self-discipline on Fox and then Cool-- Oldies PM drive like it should be done. Knock 'em dead and enjoy the change of scenery.
Edited by doowopdan on 11/20/05 10:11 PM.
