JK Audio RM/Sport & Cell Phones

I was wondering if anyone knew the wiring scheme of making the JK Audio Remote Mix Sport unit work with a cell phone. I would like to use the cue input jack as JKA suggests, but I purchased my unit right before they included the '1/4" -> 2.5mm reverse wired cable' with the unit. Of course, they insist that the unit is incompatible, even though it says right on the chassis "Wireless Phone Interface", and they won't send me the cable.

Any help would be appreciated, as I have landline 4% of my live broadcasts.

There has to be someone here who knows the pinout of those cell phone handset connectors. Unfortunately, I can't remember right offhand. I think tip is the mic, ring is the earpiece, and sleeve is ground.

I think "reverse wired cable" means that tip and ring on the cell phone end are reversed with respect to the tip and ring on the 1/4" connector, which would make sense if tip is the input to the cue bus (which would be the cell headset ring) and ring is the output to the cell phone mic (tip on the cell headset).

Looking at the datasheet for the Daptor One, I'd imagine that it and the Remotemix Sport use the same cable. Looks like you swap tip and ring on the opposite ends, and connect the sleeve straight through.
