Eastern Connecticut Joan Dylan Joins WBMW As Midday Host

Worked with JD @'CCC. Also noticed Mike's name is not on the Kool site. Didn't hear him today. Wonder who would be a replacement. He is gifted & talented. If Full Power Radio can afford Joan & take Mike off of WBMW (he's busy enough with voicetracking if he does that) then they should be able to afford to keep him on Kool

It appears that Maze has split with Full Power. He is also off of Radio 104.1's website.

Maze is one of the most prolific voice trackers in the country, so I am sure he has more than enough work.

Is Maze still on any of the Audacy stations in NYC?

If Maze is gone from Full Power Radio it must've happened Sunday or Monday. I was listening to Jammin 100.1 out of Springfield online Saturday before clocking in at work and Maze was on that station.
Maze did a ton of voice work for Full Power. He is going to be tough to replace. In the New London market, he was tracking at WBMW, Kool, and even at Jammin 107-7. That's in addition to the work he did in Hartford and Springfield. He was not tracking iHeart-style, with a quick voiceover inserting the station name before the track. He was doing custom shifts for all of these stations.

Rob Ray is the new afternoon guy at Kool

The ironic thing is Michael Maze making negative comments about Joel Denver's latest venture with A.I.Radio.. saying it will kill radio. Yet somehow he didn't think himself voiced tracking several stations throughout the country is killing radio.

Voicetracking done well makes amateurish-sounding stations sound professional, so it's not killing radio. What it is killing is the number of jobs available in radio.

I consider myself average at best as jock most days, but thats part of my recipe for success it seems while also sharing some related to the day/song/show/music random thoughts, observations of the world....its because i make that connection and listeners think im one of them. I once had a listener show up in eufala, alabama to meet me.. owner said simply.. i work from home, but didnt say that home was.. laramie, WY! :)

Some of my WY listeners, not many, but some.. know im in AK now, and some of our biggest fans ask about me now and then the station owner said.

When i used to do classic country overnights on about 4 dozen stations i got accused of taking away jobs etc... really... you think Brazil IN, Larned KS or Cottage Grove, OR is going to have a local jock mid to 6am?
