Job at Star 99.1

I know this is The New York board but Star 99.1 considers itself a NY station. They posted a listing the other day on Allaccess for the position of Creative Services Director. I was just wondering what the position could possibly pay? And what happened to the guy/gal who had the job before? This also brings up the subject of Creative Service jobs and what they pay in NJ or NY. Any takers?

Yeah I specifically recall him leaving his "morning drive duties" at Classic Hits WNNJ-FM Newton for the gig at Star. Here's two of us with curious craniums..

"...Star 99.1 considers itself a NY station."

That's funny. I consider them a Zarephath station. Let me
look at the license. Yes...There it is. "Zarephath" in Franklin
Township. Someone at that station cut school the day they taught
geography.

Just spoke with Zach, and he's heading over to WFAN for a similar position.

Great for him! A wish for ALL The BEST!! Certainly a career jump that warrants "2 Thumbs Up!"

License is for Zarephath. Totally illegal IDing as NYC

Nobody is running a legal ID saying NY City.
Either at :50 or TOH runs "WAWZ, Zarephath" except every third or fourth hour when the translators are also ID'd.

You can consider the station whatever you like, and the station can call itself NY, NJ PA, or Orlando as long as they ID once an hour with call letters and COL.

That's ALL Fine and Great, BUT IF THEY ARE a New Jersey station, then someone please explain to me what the need is for 4, Cuatro, FOUR Translators in the Lower Hudson Valley? I can honestly say that I never knew that they existed until I read this post. Personally I do NOT see a justification for this...but then again I am NOT the FCC nor would I EVER want to be. Oh yes and I am not biased or against "religious programming." I would state the same opinion/observation if it were ANY other format.

Responses? Explanations? Comments? Mr. Forte?

As far as I knew they only had one in Newburgh, their second transltor in Middletown has been off the air for at least 3 months.
