Allaccess has an ad for PM drive at the Hawk. Where's the current PM driver going to? And what could the salary range be?

Mmmm. Process of elimination. Not The Hawk. B104? Not likely. Cat Country? Eh? Maybe. WZZO? Don't think so. WLEV? Mmmm. They HAVE been known to replace a Morning Guy now and then. But would it be good match? Is he warm and fuzzy enough, that's the question. Dunno, haven't listened to him enough. If he plays golf with the GM and loves to talk to him concerning guitars, he'll last forever there. Then again maybe it is WEST!

Rumor has it: He'll surface in mornings at a competing LV station. Stay tuned. LV radio is about to be turned upside down. ;)
Let's see... In the past several years LEV moved from 96.1 to 100.7, Cat arrived on 96.1, 99.9 abandoned oldies for classic rock, ZZO has been stuck between who they are, who they were, and who they want to be, B104 rolls along without major changes except for the ones about every 6 months in the book, Nassau tries to sell 99.9 but can't, but buys 107.5 in Boyertown and thinks they can dump religous to go after a heritage FM in Reading that's been cleaning up since the Reagan years, and I didn't even mention the AM's. Turn LV radio upside down? That hasn't been done since 3 guys spent over a year on a billboard overlooking Route 22 in 1982-1983. It would take something humungous to turn LV radio upside down now. The market has been very unstable for about 10 years. Very little would surprise it.

Could it be, Bill, that canning Stosh was the quickest way to take the station down another notch, much like you did when canning people from Stroudsburg?Let's face it, playing the same songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER (I know..."they test well") may do with the focus groups, but radio stations sometimes have real people listening. Those real people do tend to grow weary of mindless repeats. Mindless? Perhaps that is a key word here Bill. ;)Anyway, good job with your latest accomplishment. May you have a run similar to the former captain of the WZZO Titanic: First to worst!

Did Nassau's sale of its LV properties to Access.1 fall through?
Yes, it did.......you might be able to find the story in the archives of wfmz.com, altho' no concrete reason was ever given. As far as 100.7, there's been a long-brewing rumor that Fahrid and the Citadel crew were going to blow up WLEV and bring in O&A to the morning drive, perhaps indicating some sort of rock format.

The WLEV rumor is extremely interesting. Couple of thoughs:Despite its 12+ number, are the demographic results that bad? Heck, there are only five (or six if you count 107.1) FMs in the LV. If a media buyer was going after the top 3 stations in women 25-54, wouldn't LEV be there by default? If LEV would flip, would someone other than 107 take up mainstream AC? Would CC drop CHR on 104 for AC? Or would ZZO be the victim? Perhaps ZZO if the new 100.7 is rock based outside of 6-9 a.m. weekdays. The LV is under-radio'd. I'm surprised Nassau hasn't promoted 107.1 more ... or that they didn't brand 107.5 as a Reading AND LV station.

Re: Post #9Let's pretend that you know what the reasons for the dismissals were. And I don't mean the ones that paint your friends as innocent victims of someone else's whims.Let's also pretend that neither has a history of dismissals.Let's pretend that the dismissals were not directly realted to either party's OWN behaviour. And finally, let's pretend that unicorns run wild through the streets of Allentown.Feel better?

Okay "Percival". Must admit it's a better moniker than the inane one you used before.Damn, Bill! I’m singed!Try to focus with me here: Management by intimidation never works in the long term. If you are a d*** long enough, eventually it will come back to bite you in the rear.It truly is best to have the people on your team actually pulling for your success, not your failure. Honestly now, how many of your charges would throw you anything but a concrete block if you were drowning? It’s sad, Bill. Just sad.I don’t know you. I don’t think we’ve ever even met. However, I’ve been following the action at your stations since the beginning. Stosh is a great guy, and can be an extremely loyal employee when treated like a human being. (As would anyone.) He was an asset to the Hawk that you no longer have. Moreover, by all accounts, a competitor of yours soon will. How big a concrete block you figure Stosh will be tossing you now, Bill?I don’t want to belabor the point, but we reap what we sow. Your stations’ performance (particularly in Stroudsburg where local residents seem to prefer an out-of-market station to yours) is particularly telling. Yet you seem to strive continually to remove the parts of both stations that do the most to hold them together. Topping it all off by posting snide remarks about it on a radio discussion board under an assumed name! Your analyst must be having a field day discussing your self-destructive behavior with his colleagues! (Not that I know that you have an analyst…I’m just assuming that a need has been filled.) Deserved or not, your company is gaining something of a reputation because of your antics. Indeed, you may be getting as good as you give from clueless "programmers" at HQ. If so, that is unfortunate. However, it isn’t an excuse to treat people badly, then ridicule them in public after you’ve stabbed them in private. Cowardly? Yes. Short sighted? Most definitely. It took the better part of a decade for Clear Channel to realize why WZZO lost its way, and make adjustments in management.Do you think it will take your company that long? And, yes, I do feel better. Thanks for caring man...

Jeff, you got the wrong guy. And may I say, you sure have your panties in a wad over some guy you may or may not have met. Could it be that you are only getting one side of the story? Both of your friends, one in particular, have been all over the dial. His reputation is well known and well documented. The other, from what I hear, is wearing his tinfoil hat just a bit too tight. So crack open a cold one and chill out a little.

Who told you I was wearing panties???? ;DAnyway Bill, I am sure by now you realize that I am not trying to convince you [EDIT*] of the error of your ways. If I would be that into lost causes, I would start donating to the DNC. My goal here is to point out that people (it be far more than two) are leaving your organization (either voluntarily or with a little back door shove from you) with bad opinions of both you AND your employer. This is not speculation, I assure you. In some way, Nassau is somewhat complicit in your antics simply by allowing you to continue unfettered. This troubles me. The term “loose cannon” comes to mind. I am sure you appreciate the analogy: An armament not properly secured to the deck of a ship can do as much damage to that ship as incoming fire from the enemy. You sir (or should that be sirs), are just such a loose cannon. An unfortunate byproduct of that fact is that your employer is sharing in the negative impressions that generate with alarming frequency. Best of luck to you Bill. Unlike many to whom I have spoken, I do not wish upon you rampant disease or physical disability. However, the number of people who do hold that view absolutely startles me. Their sheer numbers certainly tells me that not all of them could possibly be making it up, or wearing tinfoil hats.Cheers,[EDIT-personal attack]

Someone's had more than their share of kool-aid. Grape? or is it cherry? There are more than one side to every story and you are obviously having a bit of a problem recognizing that. Not everybody can be a people person, that's for sure. But your friends each HAVE A HISTORY OF BEING LET GO FROM JOBS. THIS WASN"T THEIR FIRST OR EVEN 2nd FIRING.This latest instance is just one more. But by your supposition that means every firing they earned was wrongfully earned. Is it really logical to believe that the company is the culprit and your friends were targets? Don't answer. The "out to get me" argument simply doesn't apply to your friends.

"In some way, Nassau is somewhat complicit in your antics simply by allowing you to continue unfettered."If they feel they were targeted unfairly they should file wrongful termination suits. End of argument.

AAAAHHH! I am dealing with a hydra! ;DLast things first. Wrongful termination suits are neither mine to file, nor discuss. But thanks for the thought.Gee, so now it is a question of being a warm, fuzzy people person. I feel all special inside just thinking about your version of utopia. I will have to stop by your world soon, but I am a little busy here in the land of common decency and reality. The consequences of not being a warm, fuzzy people person are many (not the least of which includes the razor sharp dissertation in the post directly above...)What galls me about the issue is one thing in particular: Firing a staffer for whatever reason (let's put aside for a moment whether it is deserved or not) and then making snide posts about it on this (or any) discussion board. Please tell me the point of that. Really. THAT is what I am having trouble understanding. I am truly unaware of the fine art of management that includes this childish behavior. If you have something to say, say it and use your name. Directives be damned, if what you are saying has merit, there is nothing lost to losing anonymity.Trashing people whom you have fired is boorish at best when not cloaked under the protection of a nom de keyboard. Doing it without accepting responsibility for your words is cowardice, pure and simple. It magnifies your actions in the firing in a very different light, and it is simply not favorable. Kool-Aid is a little too spicy for me. But I have become more than a little fond of Pennsylvania brewed beers lately.

You have me confused with someone else. I didn't fire anyone. I don't even work there. If you wish, continue on making an ass out of yourself.....Please do!! I have nothing else to say, Joe.
